Roosevelt Reads — Let’s Finish Strong! Packets & Donations due March 6

Our students have been blazing trails through chapter books, climbing reading mountains, and gathering around stories like campfires at the end of a long hike. The minutes logged so far represent thousands of hours of imagination, focus, and growth.

Sunday is the LAST day to record reading minutes on your blue reading log. After Sunday, there will be one final week to send out pledge requests.

Last year, Roosevelt Reads reached an incredible milestone, logging nearly 10,000 hours of reading and raising $31,000 for our school community.

This year, we are already nearly 2/3 of the way to our fundraising goal. The peak is in sight — and with one final push, we can get there.

Now is the perfect time for students to share their 4-week reading adventure with family and friends. When kids proudly share their progress, friends and family love to support their efforts. Students can share:

How many minutes they read.

How many books they finished

A favorite character or series

A new genre they explored

Please turn in your completed event packets to your child’s teacher by Friday, March 6. Complete the Sponsor Envelope and enclose all cash or check donations, the completed BLUE reading log, and the completed prize sheet (clearly mark which badge you earned!).

Let’s finish strong, celebrate our amazing readers, and make this final push our best one yet!

Reminders:

Teachers have set classroom reading goals, and they will reward the kiddos with a class party or another event if they reach them TOGETHER!

We’re using PledgeStar to make it easy to send personalized donation links and track donations. Everyone who registers on PledgeStar and sends the link to 5 people will be entered to win a family prize pack of 4 Pier Pleasure tickets and 4 Roosevelt beanies — just for sending 5 requests!

If you’re feeling competitive, you can also check the PLEDGESTAR LINK to view the leaderboard. Which class and grade will raise the most for our amazing school? It’s too close to tell at the moment!

All prizes, Level 2 and up, are won by reaching fundraising milestones. Please check the prize sheet and help your student reach their fundraising goals. Prizes will be distributed after Spring Break.
