Roosevelt's Got Talent!
The 2024 Talent Show will be held on Friday March 8th from 5:00-8:00pm in the Auditorium. This is always a great time to showcase talent and to enjoy time with the Roosevelt community.
Those interested in performing an act in the Talent Show must READ THE FOLLOWING RULES AND PROCEDURES along with their parents, fill out the forms, and have a parent sign the permission slip. Students may not rehearse or perform without having this form signed.
Every performer MUST attend ONE of the rehearsal times. Rehearsals will be scheduled after school from 3:15-6:15pm on Feb 29, March 1, 4, & 5

RULES:
- A variety of acts are encouraged—singing (no lip syncing or pre-taped vocals), playing a musical instrument, dancing, performing in a skit, reciting a poem, telling a story, doing magic tricks, performing stand-up comedy, juggling, or any other unique talent!
- All performers must be Roosevelt students.
- All acts must be NO LONGER THAN 2 MINUTES.
- Students may only perform in ONE ACT without exception.
- ALL LYRICS MUST BE APPROPRIATE IN EVERY WAY. This includes any song being sung, performed by an instrumentalist, or danced to. A “clean” version of a song with explicit lyrics is not acceptable—the original song must be appropriate in every way!
- Please come to rehearsal prepared with words memorized and choreography ready to go.
- Accompaniments need to be MP3’s & submitted by email to talentshowroosevelt@gmail.com by 2/27. Please format the subject line with Music_LastnameFirstname.
- Show order will be posted after all rehearsals are completed
PROCEDURES:
- Every person in the act must fill out a permission slip.
- Lyrics must be printed and attached to the permission slip. If you fill it out online, you should email the lyrics to talentshowroosevelt@gmail.com. This includes any song being used in the performance.
- Permissions slips/Act information sheets and Lyrics must be turned in no later than February 23nd for anyone to perform at rehearsals.
