School Site Council Members Needed

School Site Council Parent/Guardian Seat Opportunity (2026–2028 Term)

We’re excited to share an opportunity for parents and guardians to get more involved in shaping the future of our school community. Roosevelt Elementary School has three open parent/guardian seats on the School Site Council (SSC) for the 2026–27 and 2027–28 school years.

What is the School Site Council?

The School Site Council is a collaborative team composed of school staff and parents/guardians who work with the principal to support student success. The council plays an important role in reviewing and evaluating school improvement programs and budgets, ensuring that decisions reflect the needs and voices of our community.

The SSC is composed of 10 members total:

  • 5 staff members
  • 5 parents/guardians

Members are elected by their peers to represent the broader school community.

The council typically meets once a month on the third Thursday at 3:15 PM. The first meeting for the 2026–27 school year will take place in September 2026.
