Upcoming SMMUSD Workshop: Trauma-Informed Care
Did you know: Children with ADHD and children who have experienced trauma often present with similar behaviors, including impulsivity, emotional dysregulation, attention challenges, and difficulty with transitions. Because these behaviors can look alike, effective support strategies frequently overlap, with an emphasis on regulation, predictability, and creating a sense of safety.
This workshop will also explore communication systems, strategies to support language and social development, and address common questions around supporting students.
